How would you score Round 1 for 2007?
by Kyoshi Steve LaVallee
It's time to go to the scoreboards and see how we're doing for the year so far.
Have you taken a few minutes to do your GAP analysis for January?
What's the GAP between where you wanted the numbers to be and where they ended up?
Just a few weeks back, everyone decided this was going to be their best year ever.
I'm right there with you and so far it's been a great start to another great year.
Overall I would score the month of January an A.
January was an outstanding month in several areas as expected and planned for.
There was also a few numbers and areas that were slightly behind predictions.
My advice for you, as a highly successful school owner and operator, is to take a few minutes to review your numbers and trace back your month. Look at your stats, check your percentages, compare your numbers to your '06 averages.
Are you seeing at least 10-20% improvements in your numbers?
If not, it's time to roll up your sleeves and redesign your Massive Action Plan. (M.A.P.)

Overall Contract Amount + Examinees. These are some of the vital stats of a healthy dojo.
If they aren't getting better, sooner or later, they are bound to get worse.
Progression is much more pleasurable and profitable than regression.
Your desire, determination and discipline will take you very far in this business. I know, because it has taken me and many of our MAUI members very far and they are now enjoying a far improved lifestyle than they did just a few years back.
Your personal motivation and professional development will explode when you are being well rewarded for your efforts. How do you become well rewarded?
By getting better all the time. As you improve, so will your results and your lifestyle.
You must quickly identify and avoid those dangerous comfort zones. Eliminate and control the distractions and stay away from negative people, negative activities and habits.
