USA BLACK BELT CHAMPIONS SUCCESS FORMULA

#1. Set a Specific Goal - The S.M.A.R.T. Goal setting model teaches us to be specific.

Setting the goal of becoming a highly skilled and well conditioned BLACK BELT CHAMPION is very motivating and life-impacting for people of all ages and stages. It brings out the best in all and keeps people on a path of positive self-improvement. The clearer you are and the more specific you are in your goal setting, the better.

Are your goals clear and specific enough?

#2. Develop a Massive Action Plan (M.A.P.)

Every important goal in life needs an action plan to make it happen. When it comes to becoming the best Black Belt you can be, your plan may include your training schedule, your nutrition plan and/or extra fitness and conditioning drills.

Do you have a Massive Action Plan?

#3. Massive Action=>Massive Results

Once you have designed your M.A.P., it's time to take Massive Action. Well directed and well thought out action always leads to positive results. The more actions you take, the better results you create.

Are you taking enough actions and are they the right actions?

#4. Study and Analyze your Results

Everyone needs progress check points and measuring rods. By giving yourself frequent check ups, you can best determine if your plan is working. Sometimes your plan is good but you may need to take more action. Other times you need to improve your actions.

Do you have a method for measuring your results?

#5. Continue what is working, change what isn't

Very simple advice, yet you would be surprised how many people need to be reminded about changing what doesn't work. Whenever something is working, keep doing it, if something isn't working, simply change your approach.

Are you willing to make the necessary changes in your plan to improve your results?

Always keep your most important goals fresh in your mind and take action everyday until it’s been achieved. This simple and effective system has worked for many years for many people and will work for you if you follow the system.

A GOAL PROPERLY SET IS HALFWAY MET!

Training Tip=>Be a great training partner so you will always have training partners.

If you want to keep yourself on a progressive climb, it's vital to have great training partners for sparring, grappling, pad work, etc...

Even for general motivation, a great training partner will bring out your best.

How do you surround yourself with great training partners?

You must first be one. Be encouraging, be safe, maintain good hygiene and keep yourself in shape so that you are the best training partner anyone could ever want to work with.

Energy begets energy. Always bring a positive energy to the workout. Be the person that brightens the room when you enter, not when you leave.

I have had the good fortune for many years of having so many great training partners.

Currently, I can count several people that I just love training with and I hope they feel the same about me. In Syracuse, any one of the Masters or Sensei's we have are always great to work with. Down here in Florida, there are the Sensei's and Shihan Moti, along with several other professional team members and even a few students that I truly enjoy that special bond with.

Whether you are doing Muay Thai, weight training or grappling drills and skills.

There is tremendous value to a great training partner, so make sure you are one!

Get Fit...Stay Fit...Never Quit!

Kyoshi
