Positive Mental Attitude – vs. – Negative Mental Attitude
The battle of PMA -vs- NMA exist within us everyday.
To be the best BLACK BELT CHAMPION you are capable of becoming, in and out of the dojo, you must condition your attitude and emotions daily to remain positive and optimistic.
If you don't condition and control them, they may condition and control you.
A great Train-your-Brain reminder is to liken your daily outlook and attitude to your physical fitness and flexibility. You need to work at it daily, or it can quickly slip backwards.
If it isn't getting better, it is getting worse.
If you allow yourself to have a negative attitude, you will be filling your mind with thoughts
of fear, doubt, worry, envy, anger and many others that leave you feeling terrible.
How successful do you think you will become in anything, if you are loaded with all that negative ammo and baggage? ANSWER=>NOT VERY!!!
A positive attitude and mindset creates an energy force that inspires and motivates you
and the people you influence, to take positive actions that in return, create positive results.
PMA sparks the fuel that spreads and creates momentum for success and achievement.
It helps to create an uplifting emotion that enhances learning and promotes a positive, progressive energy for life.
Stinkin' Thinkin' and "Hardening of the Attitudes" are dangerous diseases that can kill desire and dampen enthusiasm. If left untreated, they can lead to a downward spiral in your life can do great damage to your health, wealth and happiness. A negative attitude actually drains energy from you and can suck the life out of others around you.
Positive thoughts lead to positive feelings and emotions, which leads to positive actions, which leads to positive results. If you want to see better results, it would do you good to give yourself a Check-up from the Neck up.
ACTION T-N-T> Decide today that you are going to be a positive person that is making a positive difference in peoples lives. Take action everyday to fill your mind with positive thoughts and ideas. Study positive and inspirational materials, hang around positive people and talk about positive things. Soon your entire life will be moving in a positive direction.
Next Weekend is Martial Arts University International's Warriors Weekend.
Hosted at our National Training Center in Ft. Lauderdale, we will be having visiting guest instructors from around the world that are affiliated with our team through the MAUI Mentoring Program.
It's exciting and an honor to have so many talented and successful Martial Artists coming
to share and exchange knowledge. From curriculum and teaching methods, to better ways
to develop an A-rated team. All are here to grow to the next level with their schools and their own Martial Arts expertise.
We are also down to the final few weeks of qualification for Florida's April Black Belt cycle.
There is plenty of exciting things happening amongst our dojos and with our team. Now is
the best time there is to commit to getting yourself into the best shape of your life and take your own Martial Arts skills to the next level.
TRAINING TIP:
Always express gratitude toward your training partners and compliment the teacher.
Have you ever heard the saying "What goes around, comes around"?
It is so true and fits many areas of relationships. Applying it to your training partners and
your teachers, it is always a good idea to let your partner know how much you appreciate
them, followed by praising the teacher.
EX: Last week I had the benefit of having Sensei Chris Robinson as my training partner while attending a No Kimono class at Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Miami. Gi Valente was the instructor.
It was the first time for me having Chris as my partner and my first class ever with Gi as
the instructor. Both were excellent. Chris was very detailed and equally as helpful with my getting the detail. I really enjoyed having him as my training partner and I hope he felt the same way toward me.
Gi Valente was an excellent teacher, very patient and detailed in his descriptions of each technique and had a great eye for quality as he would oversee and inspect the class. I was very impressed with his calm and quiet enthusiastic nature of training.
Expressing sincere gratitude is such a positive and powerful way to strengthen a relationship and also creates a magnetic force of attraction that brings you more of whatever you are grateful for.
Sincere praise and compliments are very similar. They cost nothing to give, yet are always valued and also give a great return on investment.
I hope you are staying progressive with your training and aggressive with your fitness.
Best of Success!
Osu,
Kyoshi
