Plant Positive Seeds with Truth in Advance
A great way to train your brain to become a more positive person is to plant positive seeds in your mind with truth in advance.
What is truth in advance? It is simply when you speak about your desired outcome before it actually happens. Here are a couple great examples:
You wake up in the morning and say… “YES!!! Today is going to be a great day!”
Someone asks you how you are doing today and you say… “I am excellent!”
Master Paul Garcia compares it to gardening. If you want to grow tomatoes in your garden, what kind of seeds would you plant?
If you wanted to grow watermelons, what kind of seeds would you plant? If you want to grow a positive person, what kind of seeds must you plant?
Your mind is like a garden, whatever seed you plant in it will grow.
Negative seeds are like weeds in a garden.
Most people plant negative seeds in their mind, by telling themselves how tired they are, or how sore they are. Others talk about being sick and then they get even sicker.
If your tired of being sick and tired...try telling yourself how great you feel.
Truth in advance is about deciding the way you want to be and then saying it until it becomes your reality. Saying it affects your thoughts, which in turn, affects your actions.
"I love my Martial Arts and it loves me. I am fit, I am lean, I am a high energy Black Belt Machine. Everyday in everyway I am getting stronger and stronger!"
It costs nothing to try and if you do it everyday for the next 21 days, it may become habit.
We all talk to ourselves from time to time...try planting positive seeds and work your garden to get rid of any of those negative weeds.
TRAINING TIP: Burn Fat...Improve Stamina...Look & Feel Better!
Have you ever seen the body of a marathon runner?
To me, most of them look anorexic, usually very thin and very little muscle tone.
How about the physique of a sprinter? Usually they are jacked. Lean, ripped and muscular.
Speaking only for myself, I would much rather have a lean and muscular frame than a skinny and weak looking body that looks like a good wind would blow you away.
I have been a regular at Gold's Gym for many years and I see some people doing a slow walk, moderate jogging pace for 30-45 minutes. Some of them I have witnessed absolutely no change in their bodies.
I am reminded of two people I met at Gold's Gym that later became students in our program. Tommy Osborne and Dr. Paul Goodkin, both I observed on many occasions doing very high intensity cardio workouts.
Guess what? Both of them are ripped, toned, muscular and in great shape at 35+ years old.
I personally love the benefits of high intensity interval training. The combination of cardio work, combined with bag work, pad work, sparring, ground and pound, etc...
H.I.I.T.=>High Intensity Interval Training is the way to go.
It improves your heart and lung capacity, it reduces your body fat, increases your muscle mass and gives you greater energy for excellence in everything you do.
Training for the past forty plus years, I've done my fair share of roadwork. A few years back, I suffered a complete achilles tendon tear on my right foot. That injury has caused some alterations in my cardio training, mainly meaning that I can no longer do roadwork without suffering extreme pain and swelling in my achilles.
However, I have come up with some great H.I.I.T. workouts that are more fun and continue to provide me with great results and allows me to stay in decent shape.
My encouragement for you is to experiment with your training and develop a variety of methods and workouts that keep you excited and getting the results you desire.
I would remind you that long distance, slower paced running will not give you benefits I am talking about. Shorter, higher intensity training done more frequently will bring you many benefits and strengthen your heart and lungs.
Those are benefits that will not only have you looking and feeling better, they will extend your life line. Personally, I plan on training as hard as I can for as long as I can.
At 50 years young, I have more energy and endurance than most people half my age.
Not a bragging moment, just a fact that tells me I am on the right track with my theory.
Train Hard...Enjoy the Rewards!

Kyoshi
