
The Hay Gung Meditations are beginner level meditations. This set consists of four meditations which are performed in a standing position. The first two are stationary, which teach proper breathing and relaxation. The third and fourth meditations are moving meditations, which regulate the breathing with hand movements. When completed, all four meditations are then practiced together as one continuous set.
Mew Hing's Hay Gung Meditations can be performed not only by Kung Fu students, but also by any interested person. Elementary and High school teachers can use these meditations before each class to help students relax and gain focus before lessons begin. For the elderly and those who are sick or injured, the daily practice of these meditations can result in lower blood pressure as well as a way to manage pain and depression. An increase in joint mobility and increased muscle endurance can be gained through regular practice of all four meditations.
