Chuck Jefferson began his Judo training at the age of 5 under coach Ernie Smith at the local Judo Club. In his sophomore year in college, Chuck broke through to get his first medal at the senior nationals. In 1999 he completed his degree, earning a B.A. in Communication Studies. During his collegiate judo career, Mr. Jefferson established himself as a top prospect for USA Judo, being one of the very few people who won four straight collegiate national titles.
