About the Instructor

His programs of instruction have been accepted as standard curriculum for a number of US federal and state-accredited programs.

Possessing unique knowledge and information regarding source-reference training material Steve Tarani is the published author of a number of books, training DVD's and trade journal publications. Tarani is additionally a certified instructor in more than three verifiable and documented systems of instruction referencing edged weapons. He has spent more than 25 years ensconced in the study of the bladed arts, trained in Japan, the Philippines and West Java (Indonesia), Tarani is considered the foremost authority on the curved blade and was the author of the first manuscript ever published on the detailed history and practical usage of this unique knife.
