The body and mind move with harmony and grace, a deadly dance of fluid motion. However, if one stops to examine the techniques being performed, one will notice that they are basic Tang Soo Do techniques performed one after another. Basics are the foundation on which the house of martial arts is built. First comes the Low Defense and Center Punch, then the Front and Side Kicks, and eventually the Jump Spinning Kicks; but one never becomes too good to forsake basics. As playing the scales is to a musician, so are the basics to the Martial Artist. Keep this in mind as you want Grandmaster C.S. Kim perform.
