Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate training starts with the White Belt Exercises also known as the 25 basics. These basics contain the punches, blocks and kicks which make up the foundation of Shorin Ryu Karate. This video contains the entire set of 25 basics with step by step instruction. There is also a short workout that can be done daily along with the video of the set.

Kata or forms are practiced to teach new combinations and movements. This video contains the first kata from Shorin Ryu, the Kihon Kata Ichi. The kata is broken down step by step and demonstrated several times. This kata is the foundation for all other katas taught in the Shorin Ryu Karate.
