28 year martial arts veteran, author, and martial arts school owner, Jeff Driscoll is proud to announce the publication of his book, The Guiding Principles of Kosho Ryu. This 280-page in -depth volume, reveals how the philosophies and principles of the martial arts provide insights into dealing with both physical conflict, as well as the conflict of daily life.

Driscoll Sensei's book is the first of its kind o the Japanese art of Kosho Ryu Kempo. Kosho Ryu is not a style of martial art. It was never intended to be...It is a study. Kosho Ryu is a study of the self, and everyone and everything in our environment. It is the study of the human anatomy, motion and body movement, balance and imbalance in co-existence with environmental influences.

In The Guiding Principles of Kosho Ryu, practitioners will be exposed to the governing concepts and principles that make their martial techniques work. They will learn to manipulate the balance and structure of an opponent in order to produce maximum effectiveness in striking, throwing, and locking arts. The comprehension of these concepts and principles enhances the study of every martial arts, regardless of system or style.

The philosophies of the martial arts are of equal importance, and quite possibly the single most important aspect of martial arts training. In a day and age where honor, integrity, respect, and compassion are human qualities which seem to be disappearing from our society, the philosophies of the martial arts are needed more than ever. The study of these philosophies can give practitioners greater depth of insight and understanding in dealing with the conflicts and challenges of everyday life.
