This straight blade tai chi sword measures 39" overall with a 29 1/2" unsharpened spring-steel blade. The black lacquered wooden scabbard features decorative gold-matte lion head engravings and includes a nylon strap to help display the sword. The hand grip follows the scabbard's motif and is accented by two yellow tassels.

Pros: Great for practicing with a live weapon.
Cons: May require maintanence first.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

It is a very good purchase. more worth you money than the $120 counterpart, at least for practicing with. The blade is more flexible and weighted better. However, as you swing, the blade can begin to turn in the handle and the entire weapon starts to come loose. It's an easy fix with some epoxy pored into the guard though.
