The Bo is one of the foremost traditional arms in Okinawa's arsenal of weapons. The Bo, a six foot wooden staff, is probably 'The oldest weapon known to man other than a flung rock!' This DVD features the Chinen Shichayanaka no Kon kata, one of Okinawa's most advanced kata. An advanced traditional form, this kata has been used to win many International and World Championships because of its dynamic movements, degree of difficulty and flair. This DVD shows you exactly how to perform this kata with all of its intricate movements fully explained. In addition, all the bunkai or fighting applications are expertly demonstrated by Master George Alexander, World Kata Champion. These advanced applications include unique fighting tactics such as body shifting, disarming, throwing and fighting two opponent's simultaneously.
