About This Item
Karate by definition is the "Empty Hand" the martial art that relies on the human body as its weapon. To this end much effort and time are required to forge one's arsenal: strong body, a sharp mind, a clear sense of honor and justice.
The most traditional and oldest school of Karate was developed in the royal city of "Shuri-te" which was later officially named Shorin-Ryu ("the small forest school") by Chibana Choshin Sensei.
Born in Saigon in 1949, Master Ho Hoang Khanh started to practice Karate and Judo at the age of 10 under the guidance of his father, Mr. Ho Cam Ngac, as well as masters Ishikawa and Yamashita. Master Ho obtained his 5th degree black belt from the Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate Federation in 1974. He was also the chief instructor of the Karate-do Shorin-Ryu Yamadakai-tan and Karate-do Association of South Vietnam from 1970 to 1992.
